Student Attendance Success Plans and My Family’s Help Bank
The Student Attendance Success Plan is designed to help parents track their children’s attendance and work with teachers to set appropriate goals. They are based on materials created by Early Works at Earl Boyles Elementary School in Portland, Oregon. Educators should consider distributing this plan to families. The facilitator’s guide (below) provides tips on how the Student Attendance Success Plan can be used.
My Family's Help Bank
One way to help improve attendance is to encourage families to think about their back up plans for getting to school even when challenges come up. Consider inviting families to use My Family's Help Bank.
The handouts are free to download and reprint. Be sure to keep the Attendance Works logo on the document, or a line stating, "Used with permission from Attendance Works." If you want to change the wording significantly, please contact Cecelia Leong at email@example.com.
